Winter in July

Moonlit Moose
Original post can be found Here

This month in my MaryMaking Favorites class I am revisiting some of the favorite art lessons from the past 5 years. As it happens, many of those are winter themed projects. Go figure.....in sunny SoCal. :)

The original lesson of  Polar Bears with Northern Lights can be found here.

  1. I love Moonlit Moose. Living in Northern Ontario Canada, we see these wonderful and majestic creatures quite often.. I would love to have my students ( grade ) create this artwork. Can you tell me what media were used?

    1. Thank you! The link for the original post can be found right below the moose if you'd like to check it out. Backgrounds were done on posterboard using acrylic paints. Moose were done on long pieces of brown construction paper using chalk pastels. These were cut out (yes, this is a bit tricky and tedious - but I have small groups, so I did it myself) and glued to the backgrounds. Hope this helps!
